A Message from Mr. Siegel

Good afternoon Parkview Families,

I hope this finds everyone well and getting into the holiday spirit! I wanted to share some updates and information with you all. 

Starting tomorrow after school, (1:30pm-2:45pm), the special area teachers (Phys Ed, Music, Library, Art, Technology, Spanish) will be offering a live 75-minute after-school 'virtual club' 4 days per week via Google Meet. The live session will include songs, read alouds, fitness activities, tech fun, and much more. 

 

The activities will not be running on Tuesdays and will be featuring Art as soon as our Art replacement teacher begins - which will be soon!

1:30-1:50 - Mrs. Giglio

In addition to the outlined fun above, teachers will be continuing to offer scheduled office hours/extra support after school. 

 

Teachers will be available on Monday/Wednesday/Thursday between 1:30pm-2:45pm.

 

On Tuesday and Friday, teachers have staff meetings to attend as well as articulation planning sessions/training during that time. 

 

The teachers will be reaching out with specifics about this provided assistance and support. 

 

To keep the holiday festivities alive for our kids, next week we will be hosting a holiday drive-by! At the scheduled time below, we invite you to drive through Parkview's parking lot 'loop' so the staff can wish you and your kids a happy holiday! At these designated times below, the grade level teachers will be outside. Feel free to show off your best holiday spirit!

 

1:30pm-2:15pm: PreK and Kindergarten

2:15pm-2:45pm: First Grade

 

2:15pm-2:45pm: Second Grade

 

1:30pm-2:00pm: Third Grade

 

We have received many inquiries about how to get holiday gifts to the teachers this year. If you have gifts that you'd like to get to the teachers, please drop them off in the main office vestibule next week.

 

The office will be open from 9:00am-3:00pm next Monday-Friday. There will be a table in the vestibule labeled for the gifts.  

 

We ask that you please CLEARLY write your child's name on the label and the teacher's name as well. We cannot guarantee the items will get to the teachers prior to holiday, however, we will keep them in a safe place for when they return on-site.
