Weekly Update from Mr. Siegel

Good morning Parkview Families,

I hope this communication finds everyone well and ready for the weekend!

Here are some helpful reminders taking us into next week -

  • In a diligent effort to keep every child and adult in Parkview School healthy and safe, we wanted to remind everyone that should your child have a pre-existing condition that mimics one or more of Covid symptoms, we will need documentation from your child's doctor regarding the condition. This is especially important as these conditions may prompt you to answer 'yes' to one or more of the questions on the daily health screening.

  • Starting Monday (11/16), we are going to begin rotating specials on a weekly basis. The purpose of this is to ensure all students, regardless of rotation group, could experience all of the specials. We are aware that with Wednesdays being fully virtual and depending on if your child is in the A or B group, they may or may not have experienced a 'live' special and this will alleviate that issue. The homeroom teachers will be sending you a schedule to follow for the upcoming week.

  • Parent/Teacher Conferences this year are taking place next Tuesday (11/17) and Thursday (11/19) over the phone. Communication has already been sent by teachers via Parent Square on how to sign up for them. If you are requesting a virtual conference over Google Meet, please make sure that information is communicated to your child's homeroom teacher.

  • Next Friday (11/20) is the last day to inform the school if you want your child to attend in-person in the ABC groups for a 11/30 start date. The next rotation to in-person learning will take place after the New Year. Please remember, at any time, you may switch your child from an ABC group to fully virtual D group. Please email me should you want to make any of these adjustments.

I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend. Should you have any concerns, please reach out anytime.
