Weekly Update from Mr. Siegel

Dear Parkview Families,

I hope everyone had a productive short week and are looking forward to the long weekend!

Here are some helpful reminders taking us into next week -

  • Please reference and review the attached updated November calendar. It outlines the District's plan for November continuing with early dismissal/hybrid learning. Please note the week of Thanksgiving as it is different than traditional learning weeks -
    • Monday 11/23 - students in the A and C group will physically be in school followed by an evening deep cleaning
    • Tuesday 11/24 - students in the B and C group will physically be in school.
    • Wednesday 11/25 - ALL remote work from home
    • Thursday/Friday - NO SCHOOL

  • Parent/Teacher conferences will be taking place on Tuesday, November 17 and Thursday, November 19. This year, conferences will be taking place over the phone unless a virtual Google Meet conference is requested. Teachers will be sending out information early next week along with sign-up time slots and procedures. An updated District calendar will be reflecting these changes.

  • Beginning next week, Hybrid Wednesdays are expanding with their academic content! Teachers will be adding pre-recorded lessons to the day taking place after morning meeting. They will be following up with the kids via Google Meet about the lessons. Some grade level guests might be the Wednesday teacher, so look out for some Wednesday learning fun!

  • In an effort to ensure all of our kids can experience all of the specials (especially with our work-from-home-Wednesday), beginning the week of November 16, teachers will be rotating the day of their specials each week. More information on this will be sent next week.

The next few days look to be sunny and warm, make sure to enjoy some outside family time!

Have a great long weekend!

Mr. Siegel
