Weekly Update from Mr. Siegel

Good Morning Parkview Families,

I hope this end of the week message finds everyone well and ready for the weekend!

Here are some reminders taking us into next week...

  • Starting Monday, we welcome back the "A and B" kindergarteners and first graders! The A group will attend in-person school Monday/Tuesday and the B group will be in-person Thursday/Friday. The following week (Oct. 26) we will welcome our second and third graders. Also, as we continue our hybrid learning model, Wednesday's are still remote days for all!

  • We have an abundance of signage on the school grounds to help direct everyone around our campus to their lining up locations. Please reference the map that I sent last week for more details. But as a general reminder, on nice weather days we have painted circles throughout our locations to distance the students apart from one another. On inclement weather days, students will be going directly to their back door (except Miss Questa - door #2 and Miss Miceli  - door #1). Dismissal will be at the same back door location.

  • Although dismissal is taking place this year at the back door locations, if you ever need to pick up your child early, please go to the main office.

  • If your child has already started to attend school in-person, or will be doing so next week, it's imperative to complete the daily health screening that is available through Parent Square every morning, before coming to school.  You can either access it from your cell phone through the app or visit www.parentsquare.com. Please look on the bottom of the page when accessing from your cell phone for Submit Daily Health Screening. When accessing it from your computer it should be on the right side of screen in orange as well.

  • Next week I will be sharing information about our Hybrid Halloween celebrations!

Something else to keep in mind as we begin to repopulate both of our schools:

In the event we have a situation that causes a need to close the school buildings for any length of time, remote learning would continue using the current early dismissal schedule. All students would report the same as they would if they were on their remote days in the Hybrid model. A, B, and C group students would simply report remotely each day, and D group students would continue on as they have been. Wednesdays would run on the same early dismissal schedule as every other day of the week as there would be no need  for a deep cleaning if the building is closed.

Simply put, should we need to close the schools, all students would fall into the D category, we would continue with the early dismissal schedule of classes, and Wednesdays would then follow the 8-period early dismissal schedule.

Have a great weekend!
