Annual Student Health Screenings

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, annual health screenings were delayed for the 2020-2021 school year. Just recently, the NJ Department of Education advised all school nurses that they must complete annual health screenings by August 2021. If your child attends school in-person, health screenings will be conducted during physical education classes from now until the end of the school year. Please be advised equipment will be disinfected between participants.

If your child is a student athlete and has already had a physical at the pediatrician's office, the student will be exempt from school health screenings. If your child did not participate in a sport, but had a physical you would like to share with the school nurse, you may send them into the health office.

If your child is a virtual student and did not have an opportunity to come in for screening and you would like them screened, please contact Ms. Mormando via email at [email protected] to set up an appointment for Parkview Students. For Joyce Kilmer students, please contact Mr. Tate at [email protected] to schedule an appointment. We can schedule appointments through the end of the school year and into July if needed.

Please indicate your preferences regarding annual health screenings on the attached Google Form by Sunday night at midnight (06/13/21). Failure to respond to this form will indicate that you do not wish for your child to participate in a health screening for the 2020-2021 school year. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.
